Broccoli Grape Salad

Lyndy Ireland of Triangle Ranch Bed and Breakfast in South Dakota uses grapes instead of raisins for a fresh twist on traditional broccoli raisin salad.

mayonnaise or salad dressing

red and/or green seedless grapes, halved

finely chopped red onion

fresh broccoli florets (1 large head)
Directions
- In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Drain bacon on paper towels and set aside.
- In a large bowl, stir together mayonnaise, grapes, red onion and sugar. Add broccoli and two-thirds of the bacon; stir to coat. (Reserve remaining bacon in the refrigerator.) Chill the salad, covered, for at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours. Sprinkle reserved bacon over salad just before serving.
